When can I download the app? +

Is ZapCharge a payment app? Where does my money go? +
No. ZapCharge is a router, not a wallet. When you scan a charger's UPI QR, we route the payment to your existing PhonePe / GPay / Paytm. We never touch the rupee. We make money from subscriptions, sponsored offers, and 2% commission on hotel/activity bookings via the AI Trip Concierge.
How much will Plus cost? What's included? +
India: ₹99/month or ₹799/year. West: $6.99/month or $59/year. Plus unlocks smart range-aware routing, AI Trip Concierge with hotel + activity booking, vehicle telemetry (Tesla, Ford, GM, etc.), unlimited push alerts, 2× ZapPoints, and 2 free Featured marketplace listings per year.
I want to host a charger. How does that work? +
Apply as a Host above. Phase 2A (March 2027): the first physical ZapCharge host network goes live in Bhubaneswar. Hosts list their home / shop / parking-lot charger, set their own pricing, and ZapCharge handles discovery, payment routing, and dispute resolution. Hosts keep 85% of session revenue.
How is this different from PlugShare or ABRP? +
PlugShare maps chargers but doesn't plan or pay. ABRP routes but doesn't have an app for daily use. Tronity tracks vehicle data only. ZapCharge does all four in one app — plus the AI Trip Concierge that books hotels along the route, plus a used-EV marketplace, plus a host network when our infrastructure goes live in 2027. India-first; West market gets the same software in 2027.
Is my data safe? +
Phase 1 stores everything locally on your device — no cloud sync. Phase 5 introduces optional Firestore sync (encrypted at rest). We never sell user data. Aggregated, anonymized charger occupancy data may be licensed to operators in 2027+ — opt-in, not opt-out.
